I took my new camera out for a walk today in search of beautiful colors and interesting textures.
I am best - - and happiest - - when I create. Nurturing my creativity and watching my ideas come to life are a huge source of happiness and tranquility for me, yet I know that I don't do it enough. Why is it that we never make time for the things that feed our souls?
I crave a life of freedom and creation. I have deep admiration for those with entrepreneurial spirits, who take their hobbies and turn them into something self-sustaining. One thing I do daily is check my favorite blog, A Beautiful Mess. Their blog is beautiful, their projects are beautiful, their lives are beautiful. Of course, it didn't happen overnight, and one of the authors shares her story here. The blog inspires me and reminds me of the endless opportunities we can create for ourselves.
“A wise [wo]man will make more opportunities than [s]he finds.”
Let's go be wise!
In honor of Challenge #6: 5 DAYS OF JOURNALING, which begins on Monday the 17th, I want to share some awesome findings in the journaling world.
- - ART JOURNALING - -
This is something I've been really intrigued by. Doing artsy things has always been therapeutic for me and it seems I have a habit of writing at my emotional extremes, so pairing these two together is like a match made in heaven.
- - MORE ARTSY FARTSY JOURNALING - -
I've never taken this course, but A Beautiful Mess offers a 52 Week Art Journaling course. These women are fantastically inspiring, so I expect the best from this e-course.
- - INSPIRED YET?! - -
Pledge to participate in Challenge #6: 5 DAYS OF JOURNALING!
I published my website on January 1, 2014, just a bit over 2 months ago! What a process it has been letting it evolve and take shape. It has come a long way, and still has lots of room to grow! I just updated the "About Me" page (psst... check it out!) and added a little footy footy footer to the bottom! Woo hoo! Progress feels pretty darn good.
Can't forget the footer...
