“Always say 'yes' to the present moment... Surrender to what is. Say 'yes' to life - and see how life starts suddenly to start working for you rather than against you.” –Eckhart Tolle
Let’s set an intention to say “yes” today and open ourselves up to new and endless possibilities. We often complain about feeling stuck in many areas of our lives. Could it be that we have simply not recognized opportunities that have been there all along? Think of a part of your life, such as your work, a particular relationship, your health, etc., in which you feel stuck. There were probably instances in which you said “no” or were closed off to the growth you could have experienced.
Accept ownership for the decisions you’ve made in the past, and make a commitment to, instead, say “yes” to new ideas and opportunities more often. Do not let emotion or habit take over every decision. Imagine if we approached decisions by asking ourselves “will saying ‘yes’ in this situation move me forward?”. Imagine if your life journey was shaped not by your regular response to stimuli, but by consciously and thoughtfully saying “yes” to what is new to you. What do you think would be the result?
Today’s Focus Question: In what area of my life will I start saying “yes”?
